SEASONAL HELP DURING BACK TO SCHOOL SEASON
Help us rent instruments and get students started! August and September 2023

Must be able to work 3pm – 8:30pm on weeknights & 9:30am – 4:30pm Saturdays and can drive to both the Lenexa and Olathe store locations.

POSITION OVERVIEW
We are looking for musically inclined individuals who are detail oriented and have multi-tasking capabilities to work in a fast pace environment during the busiest season of the instrumental music school year!

This position will focus on helping parents and students rent musical instruments, mostly for beginning band and orchestra students.

We are looking for people who love music education and have excellent communication skills and attention to detail. The ideal candidates will also possess a good base knowledge of band and orchestral instruments, but we are willing to train.

DUTIES
- Customer Service
- Music instrument and accessory rental & sales
- Store curb appeal (help keep REW Music presentable & clean during the busiest time of year)
- To be a utility player: accomplish what is needed to help the business run smoothly

ACCOUNTANT/BOOKKEEPER

POSITION OVERVIEW
Immediate opening for a part-time accountant/bookkeeper. Accounting degree preferred. A background in instrumental music is a plus but not necessary. Wage TBD.

Part-Time position, approximately 25 hrs/week. Work from the Lenexa store location. Flexible schedule options Monday through Friday between 8:30am & 3:00pm.

This position could be ideal for a parent looking to work while their children are at school allowing flexibility to be home before they go to school and when they get home.

DUTIES
- Accounts Receivable for rental contracts
- Accounts Payable
    o Process invoices from inventory team
    o Manage business expenses
- Bank Deposits
- Tax Filings
- General Ledger: Reconcile balance sheet accounts, bank statements
- Assist REW Team Members as necessary

REQUIREMENTS
- Accounting Degree preferred or 3+ years Accounting Work Experience
- Computer Literacy (Windows, Excel, Word)
- Demonstrate Problem Solving Skills
- Excellent Interpersonal Communication
- Developed Organizational Skills and Detail Orientated
- Ability to Self Direct and Multi-task in a shared office space
- Personal Accountability
- Able to work with contrasting points of view

PRIVATE LESSON INSTRUCTORS
Immediate openings for top quality Private Lesson Instructors of Woodwind, Brasswind, Percussion, Orchestral Strings, Piano, and Guitar instruments, to teach lessons in person.

Do you love to teach? We want to hear from you!

What we do matters! This position is ideal for someone who has a desire and ability to inspire and give guidance to students of all levels. You should be willing to think outside of the box when developing your studio goals and plans to promote each student's individual success.

We are looking for individuals interested in cultivating a LONG TERM Studio, who also enjoy teaching younger students. Many of our students are elementary and middle school students.

IDEAL CANDIDATE TRAITS:
- Candidate must have a degree in music
- Ability to inspire students and set goals
- Demonstrate strong communication skills
- Advanced playing ability on your instrument
- Self-Motivated
- Willing to think outside of the box to promote student success
- Interested in cultivating relationships with other instructors & being creative with opportunities to bring students together in groups
- Interested in cultivating a long-term studio

REW MUSIC TEAM MEMBER
We are looking for an energetic & outgoing individual to join our team! The ideal person is a natural “go-getter,” who enjoys interacting with others and is passionate about serving band & orchestra students, as well as finding ways to help people in our community become lifetime music-makers!

Work schedule will include evenings and Saturdays. This team member will be scheduled to work in both the Lenexa and Olathe store locations.

POSITION OVERVIEW
This position will focus on providing an outstanding experience for every person (music maker!) who calls or walks in the door at REW Music. Not only will you get to help people every day, you will learn about all aspects of instrumental music, from the individual instruments to the accessories that help musicians at all levels to be successful, and why. Preference may be given to candidates who have a degree in music.

RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE
- Serving customers
- Instrument rentals and sales
- Store cleanliness and presentation
- Help with inventory product control
- Tasking that aligns with an individual's particular strengths and expertise

SKILLS
- Music background (band &/or orchestra preferred)
- Personally motivated and proactive
- Takes pride and ownership in their area of work and expertise
- Love of music and desire to promote instrumental music education
- Developed organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Willingness to jump in and accomplish any task that needs to be done
- Graphic design skills are a plus: able to work with old versions of Adobe Creative Suite programs
- Experience with social media platforms is a plus

REPAIR TECHNICIAN

POSITION OVERVIEW
We are in search of an individual that is experienced in Woodwind & Brasswind Repair. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience. String Repair is a plus but not required. Our repair technicians have the unique privilege to learn the Music Business as a whole as well as utilize and improve their skills in all facets of Instrument Repair.

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in school band instruments. This individual should enjoy tackling detailed work and expect to master the art of multi-tasking to work well in our fast paced environment. We are looking for someone who is personally motivated to take pride and ownership in repairing instruments correctly and in a timely manner in order to provide as little interruption to a player as possible.

DUTIES
- Repairing Woodwind & Brasswind Instruments
- Outstanding Customer Service
- Assisting Our Music Education Department with occasional workshops
- Team Participation
- Some cross training to other areas of the company
